H&T Performance...

Last night was the H&T Buffet Dinner Performance. We got invited to sing for the night and the theme was 60's rock and roll or 60's oldies. This time the band only consist of myself, Jay and Jenny. Jenny and myself was on vocals and Jay was the guitarist (Maestro!). Song choices were pretty tough for us thought. As you can see, we're just teens! 60's was way beyond the time time we were born. But we somehow managed to pull a few songs out here and there. Wasn't that familiar with the lyrics too, so we had to print it out and during practice we tried memorizing them. I was singing 5 songs and as for Jenny she was doing 4. We chose another 2 songs for the both of us to duet but then we only managed to do one. Tell you guys why later. Out of the 5 songs i was doing, i chose 3 songs to be specially dedicated to someone special that night. She wasn't able to be there though but she still managed to hear those songs. Hope she liked it and hope it means something! We were asked to sing for 3 sets. per set with about 3-4 songs. First set was rather shaky for us. First song i did was kinda out of tune and jenny messed up the lyrics abit. Guess it's because we were nervous. 2nd round was so much better compared to the 1st. Songs were being sang on tune and not messing up the lyrics this time. But there wasn't much participation from the audience as they were all still busy eating and chit chatting. The 2nd set had something special in it too! A very good friend of ours, another Chris from my class decided to sing a song to his girl. He took a song i chose which was by Elvis Presley called "Love Me Tender". It turned out well as she had a smile on her face when he was singing that song. How i wish i could see what her reaction was when i was singing those songs to her. 3rd set became pretty slow and empty for us as people were about to leave as they have classes the next day and work too.Myself and Chris Chen did another song together and we both sang that song for that someone of ours. It was also another song by Elvis Presley called "Can't Help Falling In Love". I would say, we did a pretty good job up there! lol... Myself and Jenny had to miss our last duet together as one of the H&T student pushed a girl up and she had to sing a song. She chose "Love Story" but didn't really know the lyrics to it, so i was accompanying her to sing that song. That is my favourite song and hers too so what decided sing that to her as well. Instead of 3 song dedication it became 4 but what the heck, the more the better right? lol... Jenny had to leave that time so that was the reason why we missed our final duet. As we ended "Love Story" myself and Jay were pretty worn out. But the crowd started shouting "Encore Encore Encore". This time the crowd were only the H&T students. So myself and Jay was like what the heck, just give them a few songs. We started it off with our best which was "Check yes Juliet" followed by a few songs like "I'm Yours", "Always Be My Baby","Beautiful Girls" and many more! that time it was really happening. Seeing people dancing and when it came to slow songs you could see couples coming onto the dance floor slow dancing and all. It was pretty sweet. It like you have a private ball on that night itself! So yea, guess that was how the night was and how it ended. Headed home and was pretty worn out already. Managed to sms with her and talk abit. It's been 3 DAYS now!!! Gosh!!!

Here are some pics on that night... There's not much but hope you Enjoy! :)
